This quick and easy recipe for a delicious and healthy coffee smoothie will help you get your day started right!Jump to Recipe Print Recipe
If there’s one thing I love about smoothies is how quick and easy they are. To be honest, smoothies are not my favourite way to get my breakfast but there are days when all I have time for is a smoothie. And if I can incorporate my coffee into a smoothie then I’m a happy woman.
How to Make a Coffee Smoothie
You’ll need some cold coffee for this smoothie. So if you want to drink this first thing in the morning, I recommend you brew some coffee the night before and refrigerate it so that its nice and chilled the next morning. This way you can be drinking your smoothie in 5 minutes. I enjoy this smoothie just as the recipe is written, but you can add or eliminate ingredients depending on your own preferences. For instance, if you don’t like your coffee sweet you may leave out the honey from the recipe entirely or if you like it extra sweet then you may want to add a bit more. If you want an extra caffeine kick you can add a teaspoon of instant espresso, it will dissolve and blend in perfectly without a trace of any coffee grinds. And if you like your smoothie extra thick you may want to put in a full banana, but if you do, then you may also need to adjust the amount of the other ingredients.
If you are a fan of anything coffee flavoured then you will want to take a look at this Mascarpone Espresso Cream and Amaretti Parfaits!
